Default 1989 fox: Looking for part # on lock rod retainer clip

Hi all, I cannot unlock my driver side door lock with the key.
I took the panel off, and found the rod that goes from the lock to the latch
assembly is not connected at the latch assembly. I couldn't find any clip at the
bottom of the door, so I looked in the shop manual, and it lists a retainer assembly part # 219A36. I can't find this part number anywhere.

I'm going to have to take off the passenger panel and look to see what the
clip looks like to see if I can find it online.

If anyone knows the ford part number, I'd appreciate the info so I can get it ordered.

Thanks

If the key wont turn it usually means that the door lock actuator is frozen. Call the parts store or ford and find out how much they go for. When I did mine years ago on my foxbody I remember it wasn't cheap. That's if it is the actuator that's busted.

Hi, Actuator works (so far, but I've been reading that these do go, guess i've been lucky to date), key turns, but the linkage from the rod from the key to the latch assembly came apart. I can lock/unlock from inside, but if locked, i can only get into car from
passenger side.
There's a clip that's missing that I was hoping to get a part number to see if these are still stocked by dealers. If not, i'll have to try one of the places that carries the restoration parts. And i'll have to take the passenger door apart to see what it looks like so that i order the right one.

Any local parts store should have the clips your talking about, just about all the cars I have worked on have the same type of clip that holds the rods in place

Thanks, I took my passenger side door panel off, and got a visual for the clip. I found one on ebay for 6.99 (free shipping) in NOS
box. Haven't installed it yet.

Part number is D9BZ-5421952-A. I think I'll check the stores next time I'm in, just to see.
