Default How to measure pickup coil on 93 GT

Hey Guys,

A friend of mine is having an issue with his car (93 GT) not starting and the only thing we havent checked is the pickup coil. Does any one know where to measure and what voltage should I be looking for? Thanks.

Scott

you made sure you were getting fuel to the injectors right? if you did and have fuel there then i would have to say its most likely gonna be the coil and i would just go pick one up, they are cheap and quick and easy to put in.

its usually the TFI modules on the dist that go and cause a no start. if you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key or verify fuel pressure and its no spark its the TFI. Coils hardly ever go bad. Module go bad all the time. If you need one I have several in the shop new and used. Also thise TFI modules use a special small diameter socket to remove. AL.
