Well is your car automatic or manual?
No benefit really; manual cars have higher rev limiter.
Automatic cars don't retard timing in between shifts. There's different total timing between them.

I believe people have also reported better fuel curves for supporting mods, in stock form, in the automatic A9P. When I swapped my car from auto to 5spd I just left the A9P in it and it ran perfectly.

Do not switch to an a9l if you have a a9p harness! I ran into this dilemma when I had tuning issues. Was goin to borrow a friends ecu. Turns out the neutral safety circuit on the auto is a 12v circuit and its only 5 on the 5 spd. Switching ecus with out switching harnesses could fry the ecu

The automatic PCM has a more aggressive fuel and timing trim due to the automatic transmission lack of get up and go. If your car was a factory auto and you swapped a 5 speed, leave the stock pcm, you will benefit slightly. If you have a stock 5 spd and want to switch pcm's I think you have to change a pin or 2. I dont think its anything serious. I will try to look thru my old notes
