Question Will a explorer rear fit a foxbody

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Im doing a few upgrades to my car and 1 thing im considering in doing is swapping out the rear for an explorer 8.8 5 lug disc. just wanted to see if anyone has done this before and do i need to modify it in some way to make it fit. im also going to buy a set of mosers axles and i already have the mosers c clip eliminator. also what gears does this rear come with. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Or a Ranger rear. They stick out a little more so you might need to roll your wheel wells. I know the sn95 axle sticks out more than the fox but less than the ranger.

I think the danger rear is the same though because you can use those axles on a stock fox rear

i think the spring perches are in a different location on the ranger and explorer rears... i second what dan said. get the one from a sn95 and you are good to go... anything else you will probably have to do some cutting/welding...

Neither of those rears will go in as is. Also the ranger rear is not completely centered like the explorer or sn. Only one axle is the same length as the fox axles. I wouldn't even take the brake set up off the explorer since they have a drumb parking break set up which will make theaxles stick out pretty far on either side. Find an sn95 rear 94-04 all bolt in directly and are about a half inch wider on each side than the fox rear and I think make the stance look a little more aggressive.
