It's definitely easier to get a trunk and spoiler already put together but if it's cheaper or not is hard to call. Check out ebay/craigslist etc.
But I am pretty sure that it will cover the holes up from the stock spoiler. If not, look for someone with a 6 that might want your trunk and spoiler as a package and then you can trade for the trunk without holes.
