Default Alarm systems

Hey guys sorry for being so annoying with all these different threads, but i have a question about alarm systems. I just wanted to know if there are any good aftermarket systems that can work with the factory remote. price really would not be a factor, im looking for good/great protection for the car because up at at school i am not in a really "safe" area and i just want to make sure that no one tries to steal the car. Thanks

in my old '00, i had a high end Viper alarm that i liked but it was completely over the top (it was a gift, lol). now in my '11, i just added the alarm from the factory when i was ordering the car.

the Viper i had was a version of this: http://viper.com/ShopViperProducts/I...ItemCode=3305V (that remote is ridiculous, lol). good luck.

I always push viper products. Any cheaper units and ones that use the stock remote tend not to do the trick. Also keep in mind the alarm is only as good as the people in the area. A screaming alarm often goes unnoticed. I would go with a 2-way unit that warns you when your car is being tampered with.

Rebecca that unit is awesome I have used it myself. The remote is a bit insane though lol

I recommend viper as well , I got the Viper 5002 2way about two years ago, awesome system, i went all out and did a custom install myself, i used two horns, a backup battery, proximity and glass sensors and multiple hood and trunk triggers, 1/4 mile range on the remote! Got the whole setup on eBay for like 270$

Viper is definitely the best on the market. If you want the added protection and have a smartphone you can get the module that lets you know whats going with your car on your phone as well as being able to start it from anywhere!

P.S. Depending what kit you may want, let me know I can save you some money. I use to buy and sell them but can also point you in the direction of some really good sites
