Default Checking trac-lok LSD

Hello, quick question here. Some of you told me to check out the trac-lok when I go to look at this 02 gt this sunday. I was told to see if I can chirp the tires a bit to make sure it is hooking up with both tires. my question is this, could there still be an issue if it hooks up with both tires? reason i ask is that my current car (06 cts) does NOT have an LSD and it will spin both tires (sometimes).

Also, would I be able to see if its ok by jacking it up and spinning the tires? i know with an LSD the tires will spin the same way but with an open diff they will spin opposite directions.

Thanks

theres no real way to check a trak loc in these cars you can take a hard right turn and see if it steps sideways when you jump on it but that wont really determine how good the clutches are... as long as there are no clunks or anything like that from the rear you should be alright

yeah, I was going to say make sure there is no noise like a clunk which is a sign of a bad diff (besides a 1 wheel burnout which is when I realized mine was bad before replacing it). Good luck!!

I dont understand why he cant just jack the car up and spin 1 rear wheel... If the other one spins when he turns the one side, his t-lok is still in tact...

I mean if his t-lok was broken, the Right Rear tire wouldn't spin when he turned the Left Rear tire by hand. No? lol

But +1. Absolutely make sure there is no whining or banging noises in the rear...

Alright I'll try it through a turn, thats usually where the diff in my CTS gives out. Or if i jump on it while on a slanted road. Thanks!

Usually hard launches would mess with the clutches in the rear... So long as the guy didnt drag this thing every weekend, im sure it's all good. Just listen for noises
