Question E-brake light

My e-brake light comes on when ever i accelerate hard then shuts off. Does anyone know how to fix that or is there a wire than can be causing it to come on then off under the hood i read a couple other forums saying theres something you can tighten under the hood is there any truth to this statement?

yea ima check that

but it might be this actually found this on another forum

I know exactly what your problem is. it is nothing to worry about. it is a faulty switch. if you remove your center console and take a good look at your E brake you will see how the car knows when your E brake is in gauged. there is simply 2 leads that make contact ( like paper clips). one is on the back end of the Ebrake. when you PULL UP on your ebrake the 2 leads make contact allowing electricity to flow to the light. when you accelerate hard there is enough back force to bend the pin back so it makes contact with the - end. completing the simple circuit and causing the light to come on. there is nothing to worry about. in reality the car has no idea the light is even there. the Ebrake light is not connected to anything, there for there is nothing to worry about. it is a simple circuit and when your ebrake is in gauged it completes the loop allowing electricity to flow to that light.
