The mufflers are the same. From the mufflers back are a little different. The difference being, on your 01 the hanger by the tip is different then the hanger on the 98. If your set on getting it, it's in good condition and the price is right then you can go to an exhaust shop and have then mess with it. Just keep in mind, 98 Flowmaster price + exhaust shop messing with it price = the price of a Flowmaster for an 01
