Default Fuel Cap

anyone have any suggestions for my 2001 stang problem. i have the "check fuel cap" light on, on my dashboard. think i need a new cap thats it? or think i have a leak somewhere and have to get new parts?

Could just be the cap is loos or cross threaded.

Where in Brick are you located? I'm off Burnt Tavern Road.

Yeah, you can get a new gas cap from Autozone for a few bucks to see if that solves the problem.

+1 had a check engine light on for the same problem. The spring inside mine got messed up. Also make sure the filler neck gromet isnt torn.
