Default Hood not closing, what do i do

Hey everyone, i have a problem with my car. I recently just replaced the motor and I am now having problems closing my hood. It will not lock into place for some reason and i can not adjust the hood latch because it has the dowel pins to restrict it from moving. What can i do to close the hood? I looked at the bumpers on the radiator support bracket but it does not seem to be doing the job. I had marked the hood before i took it off and i lined it up properly and it is still not fitting. What could be the problem?

I had trouble with mine as well is it latching at all? Make sure everything is tight if the latch is loose it just moves out of the way and doesn't close.

Is it sitting down on the motor mounts enough?

I checked the latch and it is as tight as i can put it without breaking anything. the latch is just springing down but it is not locking into place because it is not locking down far enough

Is the hood going down far enough or could the latch be bent? You're sure that the hood is lined up correctly? If it's off just a little it won't latch. It's a pretty crappy design on these cars...

spray the latch with some penetrating oil like PB blaster and pull the release a couple of times. if the return spring in the latch is broken it'll cause the latch not to lock as well.

It is quite common to drill the holes out to be larger on the latch... Not saying you should have to do it, especially if it was just a Remove and reinstall, but is an option.

You did make sure it's not tapping the top of motor or anything under the hood right?
