Default iPod solution that doesn't brake the bank?

Anyone have or know of a way to hook up an iPod to the 99-04 stangs? I have the stock system and would prefer not to spend too much on this. I have tried all of those FM transmitters and they all suck.

I just want decent quality sound is all, I don't need it to do direct interface or even charge the iPod. I'd be cool with just a 3.5mm jack too.

Let me know, thanks

Do you have the Mach 460 system. They have auxiliary input adapters, but they are pricy and require disconnecting components. If its non Mach system I'm not sure if you can do much.

Idk what system it is to be honest. The rear speakers say Mach and I have 2 amps in the back but the head unit doesn't say anything on it. It also doesn't accept MP3 cd's like the Mach system does.

What year car is it? There are different radios between years. Do you have the radio and separate CD player? The 01-04 I believe has a input adapter.

I have an 02 GT, the system is all one piece. Is the adapter something that hooks up in the back? I know they make some kind of FM receiver adapter or something like that. Haven't found it yet going to do a search when I get back to my laptop.

As I said I've tried them all and they suck. Inconsistent and never good quality. Quality of the music is real important to me, if I hear static or cracks it ruins the song for me :/

The adapter they sell works with only certain Mach 460's I believe. I don't recall if it was ones with the 6 disc changer or with factory Sirius. I also recall it being in the $70+ range. They also sell fm transmitters that tap into the antenna which are better sound quality. I used one on a Ranger for Sirius. I can try to get the model and see if that would work for you.
