Default Motors

Hi everyone, I just bought a 2000 GT 5-speed that needs an engine. I found a 4.6 out of a 1996-1998 GT, i was just wondering if the swap would be a direct swap, in other words, would i be able to just remove the motor out of my 2000 and drop one of those motors in? Also, my GT has the PI heads, so would i be able to swap those onto the 96-98 motor?

yes, you can use the block from the 98 and use the top end of the 2000 since the fuel setup is different with the older one.

doing a PI swap into a 96-98 is quite the popular mod.
