Default oil pressure loss, WHATS GOING ON!?!?!?!?!?!?!

hey so i have a 2000 GT with a 2002 GT motor in it...the motor is a Windsor motor with PI heads and i am having an oil pressure problem...what could be causes of this?

Did you just loose oil pressure while driving. You check to see if your oil filter is t leaking too.

you're confusing me here... you state that you've got a motor out of an '02 GT, but then you also state that it's a Windsor block. Ford went to the 4.6 mod motor on the mustang in 1996+, which was the v8 used until the new 5.0 coyote engines came out... which are still mod motors.

the 4.6 is way different from the old pushrod Windsors... it's OHC so the oiling system is very different.

which is it?

there were 4.6 mod motors made in windsor but they were never really referred to as windsors but i have heard people refer to them as a Romeo block even though they werent all made in Michigan

The windsors were the earlier blocked I believe. The windsors and the romeos were similar but some parts are not interchangeable. You can tell the difference by the valve cover bolts.

they started with all Romeos then when they couldnt keep up with production they started making them in windsor again
