Default open headers?

ok so i wanna be an obnoxious kid this summer and i want to run no mufflers ha. so my question is will it be ok to run just the LT's? and also will it be ok to run with my mid pipe?

well sadly running like that will still leave you one of the quietest cars in my area but you may also run into township PD writing tickets and even worse there aren't many v8s in my area if that helps any

That would be so loud, it'd probably be an insta-ticket if you pass a cop. When I simply changed my mid pipe, I started the car with nothing but the stock manifolds and it was way too loud.

he wouldn't run into tickets here because his car would still fire up un-noticed and quiet as hell compared to whats around if anything he'd get ticket for having 4 more cylinders lol

lol that is just an old rumor. you cant burn or bend valves from running open headers. i ran open shorties on my car for a couple weeks with no problem. there is no way to burn a valve from lack of back pressure and anyone that thinks so is very wrong.
