Default performance opinions needed

I had 2 questions for everybody to see what kind of general consensus i get. First, I have tried 2 different types of cold air kits BBK and UPR neither of which really gave any noticeable difference. My car feel like it had more pep with the factory air box to be honest. So my first question is has anyone ever had experience with the JLT True Cold Air kit?
Second, in less than a month i plan on purchasing gears for my car. Its a daily driver, city and highway. I was undecided if i want 3.73s or 4.10s. I love 4.10s because i had them in my old car but wasn't really sure how the mustang would handle them. the car still has the factory 5 speed in it. Any suggestions?

i don't know any thing about new edges so i can't really say anything about a cai. for gears i've was under the impression of 3.73's for manual and 4.10's for auto's. would love to check out your car sometime, i'm right off prospect/ chelsea right before you get into ocean gate. drive through pine beach every day to avoid rt 9.

The JLT is the one of the better intakes for the 2 valve so i would definatelty reccomend that over the other two. Gears on the other hand i always reccomend 4.10s to everyone if you really want to notice a difference 3.73s are little more gas mileage friendly but thats all in how you drive the car to.

I was under decided about gears ive heard mixed stories from people about 3.73s and 4.10s i guess its a matter of opinion for the most part.

well i went from 3.31s to 4.10s and was thrilled. i bent a tube on that rear and went to a 3.73 rear and cried a little so i went back to 4.10s and even with boost i love these damn gears. back when i had my foxs i had 3.27s 3.55s 373s and 4.10s between them and the 3.73s were definately an improvement but not as much as the 4.10s and that was with a termec 3550 which is very close to the ratios in your trans
