Default Port and polish

Ok so ive been trying to do some research and I was wondering what everybody thinks about port and polishing intake components such as a throttle body or a plenum. Is it a waist or will it be worth the time and money.

what do you think?

With newer cars it's a waste of time. When the term came into being, poor quality intakes was all you could get, it was necessary to Port and Polish.
I am from the old school and will be installing a Supercharger on my V-6 in the spring. I have all the tools so I polished the "Discharge" manifold today. Will it do any good? Probably not, But that's me! Figured it couldn't hurt.

It helps once you have other mods done. Just by them selves it wont do that much. I have a mustang engine building book and they test out diff companies of TB and plenums and accufab came out on top. Made the most power of all the brands. Accufab is an expensive brand. I would recommend it after you get more mods on the car. What are your goals for the car? FI or N/A? Drag or Road Race?

As for right now my goals are not that high because Im going to college soon and won't be able to put as much money into the car as I wanted but for now I am just buying bolt ons. I have a 70mm TB and I just got a Trickflow plenum so I was wondering if its worth working on them. I was going to get the accufab but I couldnt afford it.

Its not worth working on them. What other mods do you have? I would deff suggest getting a tuner and getting the car tuned for the new parts. Since your adding more air your gona need more fuel. Your going to be running leaner so i would not push the car hard untill you get her tuned. Ive had first hand experience back in the day. Put on a bunch of bolt ons on my 03 gt and it was fast but took about 3 weeks to spin a baring and then 1 more week to blow the motor. When i wasnt knowledgable.

I have been looking into getting a tuner because I found out when I purchased the car it also had 21lb injectors on it. So with my bolt ons.. BBK CAI, 70mm TB, Trickflow Plenum... I really should get a tune.
