Default Rear Gear Specs on a 2003 V6?

I was just wondering if anyone knew the rear gear specs on a 2003 v6 stang. I have been looking online and for some reason I have not been able to find it. I was also looking on AmericanMuscle.com for new gears and there are two kinds the 3.73 and the 4.10, which one would be the better fit? It would pretty much be for driving around nothing to big at all.

Which gears should I get? Ford Racing or Motive?

Well the gear selection is all based on how you drive the car and what you are looking for out of it. 3.73s are good used as daily driver without to much sacrifice of gas mileage. 4.10s are best if you are using the car more as weekend driver which will give you the most umphh however lose a lot of MPG...It really is all based on what you want...regardless you will see a big difference with either gears.

The stock gears on ur stang are 2.73s, u'll feel a big difference going up to 3.73s I know I did , and if ur gonna hit the track often then go with 4.10s. As far as MPGs go I'm still averaging around 32mpg with 3.73 and all my mods.

Am I going to lose first gear after I put the rear gears on? If so, if I were to get a tuner and tune my car would that problem go away?

Ur correct usually rule of thumb is (3.73s manual), (4.10s auto), and if ur gonna go forced induction in the future do 3.73s, but I know allot of guys who went 4.10s with a manual and don't mind the shorter first gear

I always recommend going with the numerically higher gear when having trouble deciding between 2.

I've never heard someone wish they went with steeper gears unless they were going FI as well.

Go with the 4.10's you won't regret it.

Have you ever done a gear install before? It's not really something you can "throw in" if you've never done it before.
