Default What is ideal trans temp?

I was just curious what the ideal temp. would be for the trans.. I had a trans temp gauge installed and i am ashamed to say i didnt bother askign the guy what normal operating temps I should be looking for.. What would be considered high to the point that other precautions should be taken?
