Default 2005-2008 Ford Mustang Engine Swaps from V6 to V8 or 302?

Although this should be in the general discussion tech thread, I am more interested in seeing people's opinions and actual swaps specific to the S197. I will also post this in the general discussion for all to enjoy for all models.

Ok so my main question outside of just engine swaps is what do people think about swapping no modular engines into the S197? It's and idea I really like and would do if I had the capital (see my garage for updates on my dream build...if you want that is haha) but I'm sure there has to be reasons to argue against it so let's get to it! Please post pics if you have them and please respect others opinions (don't worry too much about mine because I'm stubborn and can take criticism)

what engine would you like to swap? The 4.6 3-valve is capable of making over 1000 at the wheels. you want more?

well i only have a 6 but im interested in doing a swap to a boss 351 running a tmw FI cross ram induction. so you know this is all being very idealistic but i figure it would be a good subject that people would find interest in

The only swap I've seen that isn't a 4.6 conversion is:

Aston Martin V12.

So lets start the discussion. What lead you to the boss 351? What made you choose that particular motor? More importantly, whats the purpose ultimatley of the car? Daily driver? Weekend fun car? Trailered race car? Drag? Road race?

for unique styling and points at a show, if you can cram a 427 into there it would be really awesome

I kinda like the idea of a carb'd engine in a modern day car

@ hotshot...i did too but john (mistahx) explained how it wouldnt necessarily be street level because it wouldnt be OBD2 complient

and now @ kevin:

What lead you to the boss 351?
at first i wanted to have a 427 small block so i wouldve started with a 351 block and bored and stroked it to reach the 427 cid. however then i thought that having an aluminum block to counter balance the added front end weight would be best but then i thought boring and stroking an aluminum small block to big block numbers would leave the block structurally weak and vulnerable. then i thought ok so how about an aluminum big block but all i could find as a starting point in this direction was a 460 block which is more than i wanted. so then i went back to the idea of a cast iron small block bored and stroked to 427 and somehow from all of that i just decided to stick with a Boss 351 block at the 351 cid. and yes part of the choice of the Boss block is for the Boss moniker

Whats the purpose ultimately of the car?

my ultimate goal is very idealistic as i had explained to john but i want a car the can be a daily driver and put out 500 rwhp/tq. i know numbers arent everything but i figure its a goal to try for. i want the functionality of a powerful/fast street car, handling of a lotus (only way i know to be even remotely attainable is with a griggs full suspension but as i said this plan is idealistic), and the look of a show car
