@ hotshot...i did too but john (mistahx) explained how it wouldnt necessarily be street level because it wouldnt be OBD2 complient
and now @ kevin:
What lead you to the boss 351?
at first i wanted to have a 427 small block so i wouldve started with a 351 block and bored and stroked it to reach the 427 cid. however then i thought that having an aluminum block to counter balance the added front end weight would be best but then i thought boring and stroking an aluminum small block to big block numbers would leave the block structurally weak and vulnerable. then i thought ok so how about an aluminum big block but all i could find as a starting point in this direction was a 460 block which is more than i wanted. so then i went back to the idea of a cast iron small block bored and stroked to 427 and somehow from all of that i just decided to stick with a Boss 351 block at the 351 cid. and yes part of the choice of the Boss block is for the Boss moniker
Whats the purpose ultimately of the car?
my ultimate goal is very idealistic as i had explained to john but i want a car the can be a daily driver and put out 500 rwhp/tq. i know numbers arent everything but i figure its a goal to try for. i want the functionality of a powerful/fast street car, handling of a lotus (only way i know to be even remotely attainable is with a griggs full suspension but as i said this plan is idealistic), and the look of a show car
