If you are thinking about doing this and have not done it yet, stop thinking and do it. I installed a JLT unit about a month ago. I did a "short" oil change yesterday as the car was in the garage for 2 months. (about 850 miles on it) and was surprised at how much oil was in there. Had to be at least 3/8 of and inch in the can. I have over 59,000 miles on the stang and it scares me to think how much has been sucked thru the engine in that amount of time! Sorry I didn't take any pictures yesterday but my mechanic and I were both shocked by how much was there in that short of a time.
I know we talk about carbon build up and problems with getting the plugs out and all, this has to be a major reason for this problem. I know these do not stop all the oil but I was not expecting to see that much in that short a time.
Moral here is do it now and don't wait. Another mod I feel should be done first thing when you get the car.
oh boy another mod for me past 40k so definitely....I think I should do something for my trans eventually since I have the ratchet shifter and I shift it hard.

redline fluid. pa performance deep sump pan... fdm engineering tranny overflow catch can to prevent the fluid that your tranny pukes when it gets hot... could do a bigger cooler with a fan i guess...
other than that... upgrading solenoids, input shaft, t/c bands etc which really means pulling the ranny and having it rebuilt to be tougher that is about all you can do.
PCV oil seperator's should come standard on all vehicles. It is amazing how much oil ends up in the intake runners, and how much it can cake onto those runners.
There are other options to the JLT " billet " catch cans, which go for $ 100 +. Have posted pics on several other sites & caught flack about my set-up. The bottom line is it works, & we're not talking a high pressue system, just " blow-by " vapors. These items are sold by Jegs, part # 52205, $ 46.99...................not a kit, requires some " hot rodding skills " to install. ( & you can tell when it needs to be emptied, without disassembly )
