Default 2005 Ford Mustang Passenger Airbag Light Issues

Ok so this is like the third time I have sat in jons car where the passenger airbag light didn't go off, it's staying on even after me sitting in the seat, any ideas of what could be wrong?
Thanks!

i know why! you are too light janice

I will never reveal how much my baby weighs, but if she isn't sitting normal and leans and takes pressure off the seat it will sense that the passenger is approx 100lbs or less and disable the airbag. its a child safety feature. It also will come on but only after it sense something like 30+ lbs, so i threw my heavy backpack on the seat once and the light came on again.

Its Nadine's way of complimenting you

nope its still on and that means there's weight on the seat and the passenger air bag is disabled. It was like it all the way to wayne and then back home....... Worried about this....guess it'll be something to add to my list when I get it to Ford in 2 to 3 weeks. (not that I want to wait that long with that light)

I searched but the only TSB I found for pax airbag with with it not deploying at a certain mph accident from a certain angle. I had my 07 reflashed at the dealer 2 years ago for it, took 5 minutes. But the light wasn't on so I doubt the same TSB would apply

Haha I was just about to add how this happens to me in your car...but it always goes off when I'm fully sitting in the seat. I hope you figure it out Jon and that it's an easy fix!
