Default 2006 Mustang Convertible Shaker 500 or 1000 System Question

All,

Should I get a Shaker 500 or 1000 in my 06 Ford Mustang Convertible?

I am very interested in getting a shaker system for my 06 vert gt. I've heard that the system is really just cosmetic and does not improve vehicle performance.

I will admit that I just like the way it looks and feel it isn't right dropping a non- functional hood scoop on the car.

Can you let me know your thoughts or experience (if you already put a shaker on your car). Did you get performance from the shaker?

P.S. I have a ford racing CAI and tune. Will that interfere with my plans to get a shaker?

They do look really good though! It's a shame they don't really do anything

Other than freezing my A.C. lines, doubt it lol.....but it does help my car run even better in the winter with the forced cold induction to the op of the engine. So maybe in cold weather it does have an effect on keeping the motor cool, then again on hot days while cruising on the highway. Not only does it look pretty cool, especially without the big plastic engine cover, I feel my car definitely runs better in cooler temperatures.
