Default 2007 GT Big Brake Upgrade Kit

Hey everyone, I think I'm going to do the SVT Brembo brake upgrade kit from AM. Any feedback on this system? Also, I see on the product info it states that the kit will not fit ANY of AM's bullitt or fr500 wheels. so my question is, my 07 GT has the stock 18" rims, so would the kit fit those? if not, would I be able to put spacers on and get away with stocks or even spacers on aftermarket bullitts? If not, what would be my best plan of attack for this?

Thanks,
Matt

i highly doubt those brembos will clear your stock rims, i never like to recommend spacers for anyone after people have told me about tires coming off while driving on the highway lol, your best bet is to buy the proper rims to fit the upgrade kit in my opinion

your best bet is to get some GT500 or GT500 sized rims on ebay or something. I just grabbed a used set of Brembos for a good deal, a fraction of what AM is selling them for. I'd hit up S197 and try and get a set. there are a set with 2k miles on them for sale right now. typically around 700 bucks and you can get a nice set.

I'd never run spacers, no matter what.

See I LOVE the black deep dish Bullitts from AM and that's what I really want because I really like the deep dish style. But, from what I hear, you can't have Bullitts or FR500's with that brembo kit. I would get the GT500 wheels, but I want black with a chrome lip 18X10 and they only come in 18X9.5 as far as I have found. This crap always happens to me though haha

You can always get your rims painted, powdercoated ect. But deep dish and Big Brake Kit generally don't go together. I've got another 2 months till i install my Brembos, i already removed the spare tire and have the can of fix a flat down there instead.

The FR500's cleared Tommy's brembos but it was close i remember. 9.5 is generally how wide on the front rims as you wanna go, however 10's can fit but you should tweak the bumpstops ect if you do.

You can have dish and brembos. Check out the gt4 wheels on am they have a pretty good dish on the rear and clear brembos just fine. Shelby razors slightly resemble bullits they have a rear dish and also clear brembos
