LOL Well you have been there ... and know how steep turn one is. It feels very strange. It is probably the same banking as typical roof on a house! I remember my first time on Pocono. My instructor was yelling "don't lift don't lift" It takes a huge set of coglionis (balls) to stay on the accelerator in turn one. But .. it can be done!
I am not sure what configuration we are running. Here is the email from NASA/PDA
additional Safer Barriers on the inside of the track are being added. These barriers cannot be moved until after the NASCAR race in August. As a result of this change the South and East course infields are not usable for our event. Therefore the "Double Infield Course" is out. The North Course and the straightaways are not affected other than at the exit of the North Course infield which has an additional bump that was not there before. As a result of this problem, we will be using the "North Course" and "Single Infield Long Course" for the weekend. The long course will be run clockwise and counter clock-wise to add variety. The track management has apologized for the inconvenience but had no option but to conform to the NASCAR requirements.
So I looked at the different track configs and still don't know. My favorite config is "double infield" Basically you run the track backwards and don't use turn one and three. You run thru the infield turning at the Sunoco signs.
