Default Air Bag light on

Hey guys on my V6 the Air Bag light comes and then just shuts off. I dont know if it is anything major but just hate looking at the yellow light and would hate to have my air bag go off in the middle of no where. It happens ever so often any ideas?

That happened a couple times when I had my '95 V6. I would start the car and the light wouldn't go off. I'd stop, turn the car off, and turn it back on and it would go away. No idea what the problem was.

But I assume you mean the light comes on while you are driving?

If its the passenger air bag and you have any weight under a certain amount (I think 100lb), it will turn on showing it is disabled because it would cause more damage to the person in the seat than not going off...

If its the one in the gauge cluster... Not sure.

Yeah it is in the gauge cluster, not the passenger dash one. I will probably have to take it the dealership. It will go on for a minute then stay on while I am driving for a few minutes and then turn off again it is strange. Good thing though the dealer is literally right up the street from where I work.

the TSB issued a while back was for a pax airbag non-deployment under certain circumstances, so guess this isn't related then
