probably if someone else has done it. I would buy an extra piece of those in chrome on ebay cheap, sand it down and try painting it....thats what I will try and see how it comes out, can't be too hard to paint.

You probably could, I've seen them someplace but spent an hour and $100 looking for you (Saw things I just couldn't resist!) I have, between my home and work computers, about 100 parts sites.

i taped everything around it and put about three coats off gloss black paint on it...Looks much better..

i tried taking the "dinner plate" off mine. got it off and then realized the trunk is raised and contoured so theres a huge bulge in my trunk behind the plate.. so much for taking it off and flat black vyniling my trunk for a cleaner look
