Default BBK CAI for 4.0

Hey guys and gals... I found a guy on craigslist selling a BBK cold air intake for my 4.0 for $175.. is that a good deal or is there a better CAI on the market..

I bought a DiabloSport tuner from Dan (thanks again!) So with the tuner, should I go for one that needs a tune or buy this one?

for S197 stuff i recommend staying away from BBK. The JLT, C&L, Steeda, FRPP ect are all good choices. heck i've run a JLT (sold) Steeda (sitting in garage) and now my Edelbrock CAI. All excellent choices

Thats also a bit pricey if you ask me. You can find a lightly used one for like $75-100 easy.

Thanks guys.. I'll do some more searching then!

Okay so I saw that both Steeda and C&L say that they require a tune by the sct x3 or livewire tuner... will the diablosport tuner work with these?

Well does your diablo have pre-loaded tunes on it for different intakes? I know some of them do.

Honestly if you want a CAI you can have my Steeda CAI for cheap. it will connect to your existing intake elbow or you can snag a new one. Its the way Ford did it on the Shelby GT mustangs

I'm not sure... I can def hook it up to their website (like dan said) and download the tune for it.. and yeah, i mean if you're looking to get rid of it.. I'll definitely take it off your hands!

Def see if u can get tunes on there for the steeda if thats what u want. Def want to get the tunes or else the cai wont do much for you without a tune. Also i wouldnt go with C&L since its a metal tube it can hold heat and basically ur not getting the cold benefit of the cai haha. Also check out JLT if you want thats what i went for one my v6 and with the tune i got it brought the whole car back to life just an idea
