Yea but thats only if you do really hard braking constantly, if your racing or AutoX. They will hold up fine for street use.

i just can't get over the thought of decreasing the surface area of my brakes would make them more efficient. I understand they are to cool the brakes down but for normal street applications, cross drilled just never makes sense to me.

I intend on going with a good solid set of some slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads when the time comes to change them. But almost 22k miles and the pads still have plenty of life left in them

I will admit that I didnt notice any big increase in braking power with these rotors but they sure do look cool, I just think of them as an appearance mod. Well worth the money. Jon I just checked with CDC and they are sold of these now. I know RPI had them awhile ago for like $330, but not sure on that anymore either.

Your thinking about it all wrong. Think of a rough surface vs. a smooth surface. you will have more grip on a rough surface.
Plus, heat is an enemy to brake pads. Keeping them cool will help them last longer and stop tighter.

good lord man 30k on the car and you are on your 4th set? thats unheard of. do you like slamming on your brakes all the time? try some EBC green or yellow stuff pads. yellow stuff are the better stoppers.
