Default cleaning the vinyl stripes

does anyone know what is safe and effective to use on my white vinyl stripes to clean them up a little? I didnt notice how grey they were till I installed a hood scoop and had stripes put on it. It really makes the older stripes look beat up

As far as cleaning them goes, you probably know to stay out of automated car washes - the brushes can catch and rip the stripes, and repeated exposure to that kind of friction can probably wear them out.

The best recommendation that was given to me when I got my stripes, was to keep them waxed. Even if you don't do the whole car every two weeks, it is important to do so with the stripes to keep them from drying out from the sun, etc. Make sure you check what waxes are safe for vinyl, though, because not all of them are. Right now I am using Turtle Wax Ice spray wax on the stripes - it's not the best because the spray wax can leave swirl marks, etc, especially on darker stripes - you really have to work to make sure you have it all wiped off.
