Default Drive shaft loop????

Ok i have a simple question i have a drive shaft loop but no hardware is there a spec on the grade of bolts and nuts used or can i just bolt it in so its there

i would go grade 8 stainless... tough and prob what it came with originally..

wow three times... ha i think i am having an issue.. lol.


only certain loops fit our cars with an aluminum shaft. bmr/roush are made by bmr and work i know for fact.

bmr front loop that is not the rear...

he got it from jay so im hoping it works. We have to install the new driveshaft soon as well before he goes to the track.

ok... if it is the granatelli or summit racing one it will not work. the brace will work but the loop does not clear.

this one is the summit racing, bmr, granatelli etc. loop for the stock driveshaft which works fine if you have the stock shaft...

once you go to a one piece the shaft is to wide and you need this one:

which goes around the front of the ds at the joint where it is most likely to break and will only clear at this area...

it wont work with the top one... speaking from experience here..

Well i have a 3.5 drive shaft i did a dry fit and the loop fits around te drive shaft with about half an inch clearance also i read the rules again and if im not mistaken if ure running drag radials "what im using" u need a loop at 11.49 or faster same as a cage or did i read it wrong??

Its the front loop from grannitelli if im not mistaken

So i called the office for nhra and spoke to a tech there and according to him the drive shaft loop is only need for slicks no matter what time and radials or street tires are 11.49 and faster
