Default Headlight/Foglight/High Beam Issue - 09 GT

Well Gents here it goes,
I was driving home this evening when I turned on both my headlights and my foglights, no issues. While driving, I decided to turn on my high beams. When I turned them on, my driver side headlight and both foglights went out, while my passenger headlight actually went high-beam. I drove the rest of the way home with just the headlights and foglights on with no issues. So it is something to do with the high-beam setting. All other lights seem to be working fine. Although I recently did tune my car, but I see no reason for that to mess with the lights.

Questions:
Is it the bulbs? But then why do they work in regular nighttime?
Bad Connection? But then why would the foglights work, then not when the high-beam is turned on? They shouldn't be affected.

Anyway I am going to go mess around tomorrow morning, any help would be appreciated so at-least I know where to start. I am thinking possibly a fuse issue?

Thanks in advance!

-Mav.

hmmm sounds like a wiring issue but these cars do have computer controlled lights or at least computer monitored lights so it could be a computer glitch... hmmm

Yeah, I mean it was working fine previous to anything else. I may return my car to the stock tune just to see if that fixes it. Although I find it hard to believe a Bama tune would do anything to the settings. The only other thing I noticed is when I turned on the high-beams, I tapped the driver side headlight and got a flicker. Would it be possible for the bulbs to work on low but not high?

yeah it sounds like you have a bad bulb because when you hit it your making the pieces that are broken contact. But yes it is completely possible to have one beam work while the other be shot.

That was my first guess, but it is odd for the foglights to go off when the high=beams are turned on though.

On most cars that I have when you put the high beams on the fogs go out. I think you just have a burnt out high beam on the one side.

^+1 on all cars the fogs turn off when you engage highbeams. the high beam filament on the one bulb is burnt out and thats why it isn't working. I've got a spare set of H13 headlight bulbs if you'd like them.

Okay, I would take you up on that the only issue is that I have ultra white h13s to match my foglights so I like the headlights to match. I will just have to order another set.
