Exclamation HELP! 07 V6 overheated!!!

Was driving home from dinner with the family and it started "smoking" and overheating. The engine runs and sounds fine, but I have a leak somewhere.

all the steam is coming out from underneath the intake it seems. Anyone ever seen this before or know what it could be?

Looks like I may have found something, where the upper radiator hose goes into a plastic piece sitting over the water pump has a threaded hole with nothing in it. a similar looking hole next to it has some type of sensor in it... does this mean anything to anyone?

Hey any pictures? Sorry to hear that. Pictures may help us help you figure out. I'm hoping its nothing major.

How many miles do you have it on just curious? Any other previous issues?

okay sounds good. All regular maintenance done right? This is very odd for our mustangs and being I have one and know a few people who have those mustangs over 100,000 miles without it overheating.

attached is a picture of what I was talking about where the upper radiator hose goes into. I stuck my finger in the "open" hole, but it appears to be plugged.

I can't really get a good picture of the sitting water (around the valve covers) but I think most of that is just condensation.

and it has 59000 miles already or did you mean? 5900?

How's the coolant level? Anything else odd? I found a bunch of threads for our bodystyle mustang on Mustang Forums about overheating issues but they all have higher miles.

I haven't actually looked at mine so I wouldn't be sure. Hopefully our tech experts will post up soon because they'll know more than me. sorry

No, I meant 59,000. It was a daily driver for the previous owner and myself.
