Default Help! Tire dilema

OK
My 18 inch fanblades came with 235/50zr/18's on em
I need new tires
I seen tires for sale an almost new set
They were off a 2001 mustang
The tire sizes were 245/40/18's
Will they work on my fanblades
Whats the downside to these tires, they are lower profile right?
I asked this before but I am serious and want to buy if they will work.
Please Help!
Mark

They'll fit. It is a lower profile tire, so yes, you will feel the road more.

that the tire size thats on my car and they are horrible on bumps you probably dont wanna go with a set of them they have no reflex and they are incredibly stiff

Stock 17" rims have a tire size of 245/45/17. So 245/40/18 will definitely be lower profile, as already stated.

If you find them on Tirerack and get them shipped from the Delaware distribution center(there is an option at checkout) they will most likely arrive in a few days. I was lucky and got them within 2-3 days of ordering.(shipped to my door)

I dont think its too low profile but defintely less rubber and more feeling the road. My suggestion though, is go as wide as possible with the tires. Not sure how wide your rims are but get at least 255s

I have a friend named Anthony that works out of a place called freewaytire.biz, that is also their website, check it out and give him a call. Tell him your a friend of Val's the guy with the 1947 Harley...he will be able to answer any questions you have and give you a deal on the tires....his tire prices are great and he includes a free wheel alignment all around!!
