Default Hood struts for my heavy hood

What is the best choice to hold my gargantuan weighing hood?
I am getting a set for almost nothing next week, but they are a name I never heard of...called "GT-TRONICS"....from a guy who sold his stang and kept the struts...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290558536268

He lives near Toms River and Im gonna put em in over weekend, they need to be drilled to the body (not hood) of car, but its ok I dont mind...

So, any thoughtas?

you can always pick up studier struts if need be. Or you can go with a fancy prop to stick in for shows.

I got all mine (all 3 stangs) from MRT Direct. No drilling required.

depends you might never find one that can hold it. also if it has too much force it could bow the hood. even when closed it has pressure...

i would ask trufiber what they recommend.

Yeah definitely ask Trufiber, I've heard of people using heavy duty rear trunk struts (somehow) for their hoods lol
