Default How do I remove the rear spoiler?

Spoiler has 4 bolts in the trunk but it still isn't coming off.

Perhaps adhesive/seal? How hard have you pulled on it? Wouldn't yank on it too hard though lol

get a heat gun and heat the bottom of the trunk lid and the wing will slowly come off if you keep pressure on it. the side badges you just have to pull off. fishing line may be your best bet there

You'll need a heat gun... Heat underneath (inside trunk lid) and apply consistent pressure. It would be best with two people.

Braided Fishing Wire not the plastic one....it will get it off so easily! I love it....use it on the emblems too.

i used fishing line to remove my emblems and rear spoiler and rear emblem. just go slow. heat gun on the spoiner will help but you can use a hair dryer too. yes two people on the spoiler will help. yes constant pressure. dont pull to hard or u will dent your trunk. take the bolts out. close and lock trunk. hit it with some fishing line. it will lift off. clean glue with heat gun and goo gone or adhesive remover.

I've thought about picking up some racing stripes, is it necessary to remove your spoiler to add them?

Just makes it easier to apply them with nothing in the way....getting the old ones out from under that spoiler was a bear!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the advice...New stripes on Monday!
