^ That's crazy! If you do replace them, call up our club Ford Dealer - Downs Ford and they should be able to get you a good price on them. That's where I get all my parts.

My car is at 75k and either they were replaced before my parents owned the car, or I'm still on stock but they need to be replaced at some point I think in the spring.

transmissions are more expensive then brake pads

and also, does anyone else feel the brakes fading really bad at high speeds? i know when i'm up around 70-90 that my car just doesn't want to slow down at all. They start to bite under 65 mph.

I honestly think I warped the stocks with in the 1st week of having my car and I bought it brand new... special ordered it to get it the way I wanted it.
i am interested in hearing what you think of the slotted rotors because i have gotten mixed messages about them. I know cross drilled are good to avoid due to cracking, but slotted i get good and eh things about.

And did you by chance go with the Hawk HPS pads?

Yeah it's auto. I think it had about 55k when my parents got it. It's the second year we've had the car.

I've gone through a few set of pads and rotors. I get 2-3 track days out of the OE parts which at the price of new take offs is fine. I'm thinking about doing the GT500 conversion, but would need to upgrade to the GT500 wheels as well to clear the Brembos.
