Default How long have your stock brakes lasted you?

I've got 21,250 miles and still going strong. Then again i've never done a burnout or really jammed on them aside from the near miss on rare occasion. I am looking to upgrade to Hawk HPS pads when they come time, but i am wondering, how much longer should i get outta the stockers? i heard many people getting well over 50k on them

It all depends on the driving. I put on Hawk pads and slotted rotters at 25K. My brakes I took off still looked good. But its hard to tell. I drive 30K a year on 287 with little traffic.

I had mine replaced at the day of the Downs show, probably under 28k. (Mostly highway driving too)

I can tell you that in my Sport Trac I get about 15-20k out of them. I am interested to see how mine do in my Stang myself.

My Monte Carlo I got 44k miles on original rotors and pads, and was told I had at least another 15k to go before replacing anything. Needless to say I never put brakes on that car!
