Default Ideas For Fabbing Mustang CDC Shaker to CAI

I have been running it like this but just noticed that any water that goes through the shaker goes right thru that tube to the intake.

First off I need a new CAI intake box since this one stinks in my opinion.

My idea is get a more closed box and have the intake tube enter it further down then where it is now.

Would that work to keep the water from my CAI?

If so I need to see my options for CAI boxes without having to change my whole CAI setup.

very true that could work. I just want another cai box that is better setup and I'll try to fab the hole to the bottom of the box so the water runs out of the tub and falls down before hitting the intake

thats the tradeoff for functional stuff basically. I think you'll be fine since i know lots of guys on forums that DD their cars in the rain a lot more then you do since you tend to drive the truck in bad weather anyway. Personally i wouldn't worry too much.

alright jon you know what to do? get yourself a half inch fitting with a barb end drill a hole like 6 inches before the filter put the fitting in the bottom and run a hose out to the bottom of the car. you could just drill the hole but this would be fancier

oh no but it happens when I wash it or anything and I tend to hit rain every other meet I go too and with my track record so far of planning meets for rainy days, I'd rather be prepared....so I'll be scouting the cai boxes of others at Butler to see which one I want to get so I can make a new hole further down pass the intake a bit so that the water dumps down and not over or right into the cai, since I originally made it too high. I'll show you sunday

thanks I really do like the FRRP setup, was debating getting the v6 version but I want to continue using my C&L, definitely interested in seeing if it will work.
