Default ipod integration

Hey guys, I'm looking to get an adapter so i can integrate my iPod to my factory stereo. I have a 2005 mustang GT with the Shaker 1000 option. I found a few adapters so far. Does anyone know of any other good ones? How is the installation? Sound quality? User interface?

Here is one i found...

This was one reason among many that I sold my '99. I had a plug in adaptor stuck in the cigarette lighter in the '99 to try and play my ipod and the sound quality was awful - what's the point of having the premium stereo and crappy sound?

I think with the S197 model you should be okay using an adaptor though - it won't be what I had to use at all, so your sound should be decent.

I do have to say that I greatly enjoy all my technological doodaz in my 2010 - no worries about these kinds of things!

I've heard mixed reviews about that. Have you had experience with it?

I swapped to an aftermarket headunit to get Navi and Bluetooth. I recommend picking up a used Pioneer Avic D3 since they are pretty good, have one in each of my cars. I bought my last one on eBay.com used over a year ago and hasn't had any issues.

If you are looking for a cheap aftermarket alpine head unit with an ipod connector, let me know.... I have one sitting in a closet that I will let go cheap....

GT800, what do you mean by "it's not the greatest thing"?

Well can't say for the non nav headunit but on the nav setup there is no pause and its just not as easy to use as most aftermarket units
