Default Leaking anti freeeze

As you might know had my water pump replaced last year, and now its leaking again...
This might be a problem depending on how much it cost to fix.
The pump we installed last year had a paper gasket, and one or 2 bolts gave us a problem as we couldnt get them past the gasket, but we seemed to finally get them in.
Now I noticed that in that area there is leaking and the bolt in that area keeps turning when i tighten it..
Im not sure if the bolt /threads are bad...but this might totally kill Carslile for me.
So im going to get a metal gasket and go to my local mechanix and have him check it out, explain what happened and go from there..

Could it be the bolt was thread into the gasket, but just didnt grab because the gasket is wedged in the hole?

So frustrating...
Mark

one way is to take the water pump out and screw the bolt on each thread to make sure its not stripped. second you can get a better gasket then paper and make sure you put silicone all around it for a tight seal. and third you might even have warranty on the waterpunp if its a year old. if the threads on the block is stripped, you can always tap it. hope everything works out for you.

it is easy if you know what your doing lol. its not hard, i changed my own waterpump and many other things. when you tighten the bolt back in, its all the way in and loose? if it is, the bolt or block is stripped. take that bolt out and just check it and atleast you have an idea what it can be.

Also, tapping a block..
Is that an easy task?
Can anyone do that? The bad screw is the easy side of this situation-get new screw..
I dont want to seem like a total spaz, but I dont know what one would need to do to fix that issue..
Thanks..
M

Yea I could take it to Ford but then I cant afford Carslile...
Its such a tricky position right now...
I may have to just drive down for the day, but I have to fulfill the needs of the sponsors as well.

why waste money on antifreeze when you are just gonna spit it out, fill it up with water, its cheaper and it wont freeze in the summer time .. lol mark, they sell a tap set to do the job if thats the case. just need patience and knowledge doing it. ill send you a pic of what a tap looks like if you want.

Fix a smaller issue before it becomes a larger issue is my way of thinking. I know money is tight but making sure you're at the show is your top priority it seems, so make sure that you get the car working 100%. I never say this but put it on the CC and pay it off later....
