Default pcv valve

Its about that time to change it out per the ford service sheet. I dont know if i should just get one from the local auto parts store or get an oem motorcraft one. Any ideas?

the one that connects from the side of the valve cover to the throttle body? I don't understand why you'd need to replace that.

i have no idea something along the lines of it gets some kind of build up and can cause the car to run like crap but mine doesnt i just like to change things when i hit the numbers. i read up on it and it can cause some kind of rattle when pressing the gas under a load. but i have no clue lol

well that does sound founded, i mean i run an oil separator that takes out the oil/blow-by out rather then pouring it back into the intake manifold to be burnt up.

you can find a cheap one for approx $16 on RockAuto.com. thats where i bought mine. i purchased a spare one since i hacked up the OEM one to reuse the quick connects. takes 30 seconds to install with just your hands

you need only change the pcv valve during regular tune-ups at which time the plugs and wires are done to my explorer has only had that valve replaced once in the 11 years of it being in the family

UPR, Steeda, Moroso, JLT, Husky and many others. The JLT is the one i'd go for an N/A car cause of the clean look and nice sized tank it has. a really great piece i would have gotten except it wasn't made when i bought mine so i got a UPR one.

Alright, this thread got me researching the whole Oil Separator gizmo on all the forums. I just bought the Black JLT.
