Question Powdercoating valve covers

anyone know of a good place to do it? I heard it will run me about $100 which is a lot better than the $250 they want for a set of already powdercoated ones

And if anyone has taken their valve covers off before for this or something similar, can you reuse the gasket or do you recommend getting a new one?

i 2nd this! I have parts I'd like to be powdercoated as well for a good price, some parts of my engine....maybe my heads?; 2 set of wheels as well, a grille guard, maybe a few other things...they'd definitely make some money from us

Maybe find a good local shop and get a group deal by getting a bunch of parts done at once

i have never seen a local shop that has the capacity to do this so i am expecting i'll have to drive a good long distance to get this done

But it would be worth it....we could load the pickup with a bunch of stuff to be done and have it done all at once, would be cheaper.

hell I'm with you on that...I'd definitely see if I can do a few engine parts including my headers in black powder coat as well rather than swapping my headers (I'll be posting a thread about shorties later with my options, even though i wish i could do longtubes but too much money lol)

555 has a thread going about shorties right now. everyone is trying to get him to go to LT's. but see, aesthetically, the shorties are a good option cause the rusted OEm manifolds are ugly
