Default Pypes Mid Muffler Exhaust with Cats for 2009 Ford Mustang GT

hey im looking for some feed back befor i make my purchase


i found a decent deal for an sct xcal3 tuner with custom tunes and a complete mid muffler with cats exhuast system and pypes shorty headers for under 1500 w/o our discounts


does anyone have or had this system or know anyone that did if so how is it i need to make up my mind quick thursday morning is tax day and im leaving with a check if possible lol id like to place the order this weekend!

i cant do long tubes right now ... cashflow isnt there and i was told its better for supercharger with shorties ... was i misinformed?

if you can get a good deal on it, do it all! I wish i could've done my headers too even if its just shorties, the stock ones look awful

well see here is the scoop.

With LT's you gain about 12-15 HP arguably

However you lose a small amount of boost therefore you lose HP.

But the gains from the LT's are just about equal to the loss from the boost. So essentially its a wash. However you can end up positive and with sick sounding exhaust.

Just remember shorties are still a raging PITA to install and costly if you have a shop do it. Just trying to save you from re-doing mods which is a complete waste of money.

yup, thats why people go with shorties on boosted cars. You will gain 2-3 on a N/A probably 5-6 on a boosted car. nothing guaranteed though, all cars are different.

I've heard the fitment is hit and miss. For $1500 (and tuner included) you could choose from a few other options that would be from the headers back.

Consider BBK or MAC for the headers and mid pipe, and a reasonably priced cat back.

This is te response i got on the mustang exhaust forum.
Also on shortys, you gain a good amount of torque which is a good thing on NA car.
