Default TCI Ratchet shifter for '05 GT... worth it?

Hey guys i have a 2005 GT auto and i was thinking it would be cool to get this shifter. I usually drive in the manual mode and using this shifter seems to be fun and better to shift with. Only thing is that its $400. Do you think it is worth it for a mostly stock GT, and can i install it with basic tool?

Haven't driven one with it yet but they are fun everyone says. Wait for them to go on sale, $400 is more then they used to be

YES! I love mine. Don't get to drive as much now but when I use to.....it made driving in traffic more fun and even more fun on the back roads when cruising.....definitely much better and safe than manually shifting a stock automatic shifter......

P.S. American Muscle carries it now, they didn't have it when I got out but their prices are usually the cheapest around plus we get a club discount.

They're under $400 on AM with a coupon =)

Still, just under $400 isnt that bad for what it is. Lot of parts to this type of shifter
