Default Tires...... ugh.

Time has come to put new rubber on my GT. Originally equipped with the BF Goodrich Gforce TA's. All 4 have developed cracks along the treadlines. All 4 are slowly leaking air.

What have you put on to replace? I have optional 18 rims.

Have been told Yokahama Avid Envigor, Goodyear GT or Pirelli Pzero nero.

They need to be all weather tires.

Give me some ideas here... the OE Goodrich's are backordered from the manufacturer until NEXT YEAR.

That, obviously is not going to work for me.

BFGoodrich Super Sports A/S is what I have on my 18s, great traction in the rain, even with my heavy foot.

i happen to love my Pirelli P-zero Nero tires on my stockers. The tires have about 20 k on them and look like new, now i just use them in the winter time with the snow and they do great

Would you rather use the pirelli or michellin xice 2s in snow if you had the option?

Very impressive tires, and grippier at least as far as braking and hard cornering are concerned than their treadwear rating might lead you to believe. Two wheel drive acceleration grip I can only guess at as being decent based on the braking performance, since my only experisnce with them is with an AWD car.

I'll be putting these tires (in 225/45-18) on my wife's 2.5GT Legacy (turbocharged, 265 HP, 6-speed manual) this weekend for their second winter season.

I hated the p-zeros on my car, and didn't get the full scope of how bad they were until I finally changed tires to Nitto NT555's (summers though).

My girlfriend has the Yokohama avid envigors on her charger and I love them. Quiet, relatively inexpensive, good wear, and great grip dry/wet/snow. They would be my suggestion. They seem to run a bit skinny though, so if you're between two sizes I'd go with the wider.
