Default Tranny Broke

What can I say....Now I know why I named her VooDoo.....Put it in reverse to leave work & bam, something broke hard in the tranny.....With the shifter in neutral, the tranny is still in reverse & won't come out....1st & 2nd blocked......Anyone have any connections @ Downs....I'm still covered under warranty.......And the kicker, not even 1 trip down the 1320.....At least it didn't break at a stop light or something......Need a loaner car....So I WAS going to the AM show....pre-registered & all but the demons have spoke

Hey if its under warranty, they'll take care of you....had my F150's trans replaced under warranty a year or two ago and I was able to get an insane deal on a F150 rental from a local enterprise....almost for the price of a compact lol

It was also winter and dead season time down there for enterprise.

That really blows BUT if you are under warranty you are covered. My transmission was faulty and they had to crate an entirely new assembly from Ford for me. Didn't cost me a dime, and I got a rental too. Good luck - drive the rental out to the show and come see us anyway!

Called Ford roadside assistance this morning, got the car taken to Downs, as it was the closest according to the zip codes?...Now the fun begins.....Car has 29K on it 2008....THey write it up as a regular invoice until they can confirm it is in fact under warranty???? I'm thinking OK, here we go....I then ask about a loaner or some type of transportation...Nope, I have to rent a car from enterprise @ $42 a day, of which ford covers $30 I mean really.....I ask about the courtesy van, they said they cant take me back to where the car was picked up because its to far......So I talk to Rick Riccardo, owner, and still no resolution.....Call Ford customer service....They are shocked, but cant make them take me anywhere, as it is a courtesy offered by the privately owned dealers.....Call the service manager where I purchased the car (SC) and basically said the dealership up here are being asshats, and should provide me with some kind of transportation.....Oh and one comment that was made to me.."You didnt buy the car here,...We are only required by ford to repair the vehicle"....Great customer service..Piss Off Downs

Never had a problem with them....their courtesy service doesn't drive you that far and that's pretty much what I did, I took the rental for a freaken great price and drove it around for a few days. If you find a Ford dealership that'll drive you more than 10 to 15 miles away from the dealership let me know, I'd be curious. Only high-end dealerships do that stuff. For example, the BMW dealers up here, give people Almost New Rental BMWs to take home as (courtesy cars).......crazy huh?
