Question Tuning Advice - 06 GT Convertable

This may be a dumb question ....But, can you get your car tuned somewhere without having to go and spend $500 on your own Bama Tuner?

You could but having your own tuner and getting free tunes for life beats paying a few hundred bucks everytime you want to get a new tune. It pays for itself over and over, plus I find my AM tunes to be very reliable from Day 1.

This is good advice.

I had a dyno tune done using HPtuners. If I wanted to change one little thing (gear ratio, tire size), I had to go back to the shop and have them ref lash the car. We later redyno-tuned it using SCT software and my x3, and I was much happier.

You can't beat AM's tunes for life program. Buy your tuner there. I wish I did.

i agree with both Jon and Mr. Noodley, paying the 500 bucks now will save u from spending 200 everytime u want to get a different tune, go with the sct from american muscle. it works out in the long run!

You wanna get an SCT tuner from a speed shop where you are going to be doing the bulk of your car part buying from. That way you save time, money and hassle.

I am running a mail order tune for a S/C, so on a N/A almost any mods won't require a dyno tune. The things that would require would be cams or heads.

I think it depends what your trying to get out of the tune.you wouldn't get the maximum performance from a mail order tune. Cause the motor isn't running in front of them. Kevin @Wicked motor sports has good pricing just my 2 cents
