Sold my DD bullitts today with the nittos and looking to upgrade to the GT500 rims from 2010+. They clear brembos, look cool, and come 9.5 inches wide which is perfect for me. This setup comes on the HRZ III tires, which i have heard some great things about and read some good reviews. Just wanted to see if anyone on here had any first hand knowledge about them, knowledge is power and advice is welcome
I guess to backup my statement i will say that the wheels James wants are more suited for the '10 body style which is less angular than the 05-09 S197.
I think with the front bumper James has, white Saleens will induce that "look at me" persona his car has(and the power to back it up.)
Saleens were actually something i considered. I don't want 20's though, i like sidewall too much. I was considering Roush cause i like them a lot, but i wanted to be unique, and roush rims with the roush front end may have had ppl thinking i was trying to make a clone which i'm not. So i spied these bad boys, saw how i liked the styling and how it looked (see enclosed pics) and i was sold. not to mention i can run Baer, Powerslot, Brembo, Shelby or really w/e big brake kit i want with them.
Notice the difference between the genuine and the replica rims too, i really like the genuine ones, in addition to how they come in 9.5 inches wide which the replicas dont. I plan on running the 275's all around and that way i can rotate!
Also as cool as white saleen would be on my VB, not a chance in heck, the chrome was a lot of work keeping clean as it was, white would be the same or worse! haha
