Default Wheel Bearing

I been having this vibration in the left fron wheel when i go into right turns. Checked every nut and bolt on the front end but could not find anything. When i jacked up the car I spun the left front tire by hand and it would rotate free for half a turn and then almost bind up. Checked the brake rotor for warpage, nothing. That leaves the wheel bearing, &^&^%% Ford (or anybody) does not just sell the bearings, you have to buy the whole hub assembly. Everybody locally wanted well over $100 for it so I got it from Rock Auto for $71.00. Should be here tomorrow and going in on Saturday. I only got 51K on my car and the bearing is bad aleady???????

Could be due to the tire/wheel offset which loads up the bearing more and caused a premature failure.

I just had the same issue on my Expedition, it wore the d/s front bearing in less than 100k miles, thanks to the 20x9 wheels I'm sure...

It's a very easy job to replace them, all it takes is a 36MM socket(the only real specialty tool you need) and some air tools(preferably.)

RockAuto is an awesome site, i buy stuff from there all the time.

I got mine at AutoZone.

The OEM tool kind, pretty cheap and easy to get. An AutoZone might be closer to you than an HF(closest one in Woodbridge?)

If I go into an HF, its SHOPPING time for me. Last time I walked away with a brake piston tool set lol...

Change the hub today, very easy. Took me longer to get all my tools together (thanks to my son) then it took to replace it

Sounds like it went easy for ya.

Gotta love it when a seemingly hard/long job turns out to be a cakewalk.
